Last night I started yet another canvas (I'm taking a break from 'The Last Supper'), and worked on it for a bit this morning after dropping Anevay off to school. I need to add many details (I'm envisioning a string of pearls, or rather, two strings, one for each neck), which will probably take awhile...I started coming up with ideas for the next canvases, most of which will involve animals, 18th Century costume (clearly not an element in the canvas you see above), and, well, a little macabre gore. I'm constantly fascinated by the fact that humans, for all of our pretense of being clean and civilized, are really rather beastly, both in mind and body.
